IES Webinar
  • April 7, 2021
    12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Come join the IES Student Chapter at the University of Nebraska for a presentation and feedback session on the work of Lighting Design students. Students presenting at this event are typically in their fourth year at the Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction, specializing in the Lighting/Electrical discipline for the Masters of Architectural Engineering Degree. The students are enrolled in the Lighting Design course under the instruction of Dr. Michelle Eble-Hankins and Rodrigo Manriquez.

The event will open with an update on the current happenings of the lighting program at the Durham School (College of Engineering). We will then split the industry members into breakout meetings with a design team consisting of 1-3 students. The students will present their current progress towards the Howard Brandston Student Lighting Design Competition, their third and final design project for the course. After presentations, the students will welcome the opportunity to get direct feedback from practicing lighting industry members. The event will conclude with a group lessons-learned discussion as time allows. We hope to see you there!

Course Objectives:

  • Exposure to student design projects
  • Opportunity to provide valuable feedback and evaluation
  • Connection with the students and the University program
